It’s that time of year again! Winter is right around the corner. This means stocking up on warm winter essentials for your children.

Maybe they outgrew last year’s clothes, or you just want to add something new to their wardrobe. Since winter is such a long season, whatever you buy needs to be great quality so it can last through those frigid months.

And one more thing: just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean the clothes you buy can’t be stylish too. From snowsuits to hoodies, there are so many stylish options when it comes to dressing your kids for winter.

With the holidays coming up in a short while, you have a great opportunity to order winter clothes for kids to give as a promotional gifts. Here are seven winter clothes for kids that work well as presents:

1. Hoodies

What kid doesn’t love a good hoodie? One of the many great things about this piece of clothing is that it comes in so many different styles, colours, and textures that there is really something for every kid (and adults too!).

If your child has a favourite brand, design, or school colours they love, you can really customize their hoodies so that they are encouraged to wear them. Custom printed hoodies are easy to make, plus they allow you to express your creativity.

Going shopping for hoodies should be easy. Your kid will probably want to pick out more than one!

2. Snowsuits

These days, snowsuits come in so many different styles. Your child may not be particularly happy about having to wear a snowsuit, but you can make it a more fun experience for them by letting them choose one they like.

For example, if their favourite colour is pink, look for a snowsuit that has this colour in it.

They are also available at even more big-box retailers and online stores, making shopping for them quick and easy.

This also allows you to make the shopping experience fun for your child, especially if they like shopping, as you can go from store to store until you find something they really like.

3. Jackets

Your child will not always need to wear a snowsuit. For these times, it’s a good idea to have a jacket (or jackets) on hand for them to wear. There may not be a lot of snow to contend with or they may just be going in and out of the car and therefore not need a snowsuit.

With so many jacket options available even before winter starts, you can get out there early to find the best quality jacket, with the best style, before the snow even starts to fall. This will also allow your child to have the first pick and hopefully find something that they love.

If your child has a hard time wearing all of their winter gear, make it fun for them by letting them pick out their jackets (within reason of course!).

4. Hats

Depending on your child, they may love or hate hats. If they don’t enjoy wearing them, the best thing you can do is give them full control over the hat they choose. Since they have a say in selecting it, they will be more likely to wear it (we hope!).

From hats with pom-poms, to hats with animal faces on them, it’s easy to come across fun and stylish hats that will suit any child’s style.

5. Mittens and Gloves

Mittens and gloves are items that can easily be customized to fit the preference of your child. From fun colours to funky designs, let your child have fun with this.

It’s always a good idea to buy multiple pairs of mittens and gloves since it’s easy for children to lose these types of winter accessories.

One way to solve this problem is to attach each mitten or glove to one end of a string and run it through the inside of their jacket. This will cut down on the chances of them losing one, prevent them from forgetting them at home, and be a good reminder to put them on when it’s cold.

6. Sweatpants

For cold winter days, there’s nothing quite like a comfy pair of sweatpants. We’re sure your child has a favourite brand, but some big-box retailers have good quality pairs that aren’t brand name, therefore saving you a few bucks.

If you’re looking for something a little more custom for your child, consider having the design custom-made. Even if you do this with one pair, it’s fun for kids to have something that none of their friends have. It’s also a great way to encourage them to wear warm clothing throughout the cold winter months.

7. Fleece Sweaters

Fleece is one of those materials that are very warm. If you live in a particularly cold climate, fleece is a great go-to winter clothing item. Having a few fleece sweaters on hand for extra cold days or snowstorms is a great way to make sure your child stays nice and toasty warm.
